Frequently asked questions

Is this the official BalanceFrom site?

This is the official BalanceFrom brand catalog. We maintain the full range with specs and capacities, while checkout and delivery run through established retail partners.

Which tile thickness do I need?

Half inch handles bodyweight work and cardio. Three quarter inch is the standard pick under dumbbells and benches. One inch is for barbells, plates and anything you might drop. The flooring guide walks through it room by room.

Can I put a squat rack or treadmill on the puzzle tiles?

Yes, on the high-density versions. Point loads from narrow feet will dent any foam over time; a pair of cut-offs or rubber pads under the uprights spreads the weight. For treadmills, the dedicated equipment mat resists creep better than interlocking tiles.

The foam smells out of the box. Is that normal?

A faint EVA smell after vacuum packing is normal and airs out within a day or two. Lay the tiles or mat flat in a ventilated room; the care guide covers the full break-in.

Are the stated weight capacities real?

They are the manufacturer ratings and we print them as given: 800 pounds on a typical bench, up to 1,100 on the plyo boxes, static loads on mats far higher. Staying under the number is on you; exceeding it voids most partner claims.

Will a safety gate fit my doorway?

Each gate lists its range, most commonly 29.1 to 33.8 inches with extensions sold for wider spans. Measure the narrowest point of the opening at gate height before ordering, not the widest.

Why does the button send me to another store?

We are a catalog, not a warehouse. The availability button opens the current partner listing where price, stock and checkout live.

Are prices on this site live?

They reflect our last check and can drift. The partner page is always the source of truth at the moment you order.
